VISION &
PRIORITIES

We're focused on the issues

  • Families in South Florida are working harder than ever, yet too many are struggling to keep up with rising housing costs, insurance premiums, groceries, and everyday expenses. I believe every family deserves the opportunity to build wealth, own a home, start a business, and retire with dignity.

    My priorities include:

    • Lowering the cost of living for working families.

    • Expanding affordable housing and pathways to homeownership.

    • Investing in infrastructure and economic development that creates good-paying jobs.

    • Protecting Social Security and Medicare for seniors.

    • Expanding access to capital, federal contracts, and technical assistance for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

    • Bringing more federal investments back to Broward and Palm Beach Counties to strengthen our local economy.

Economic justice means creating opportunity—not just for a few, but for every family willing to work hard and build a better future.

  • Healthcare should never depend on your ZIP code, income, or ability to pay.

After spending more than two decades in healthcare, I know firsthand that prevention, affordability, and access save lives. I will continue fighting to lower prescription drug costs, protect Medicare and Medicaid, expand access to quality care, strengthen mental health services, and eliminate healthcare disparities.

    My priorities include:

    • Protecting Medicare and Medicaid.

    • Lowering prescription drug costs.

    • Expanding preventive and community-based healthcare.

    • Addressing maternal and infant health disparities.

    • Improving access to mental health and behavioral healthcare.

    • Investing in community health centers and healthcare workforce development.

Healthcare is not a privilege. It is the foundation of a healthy community and a strong economy.

  • Housing is one of the greatest challenges facing South Florida.

Too many families are being priced out of the communities they helped build. Seniors on fixed incomes, young families, teachers, healthcare workers, and first responders deserve the opportunity to live where they work.

    I will continue fighting to:

    • Increase the supply of affordable and workforce housing.

    • Expand rental assistance and first-time homebuyer opportunities.

    • Bring federal housing investments to District 20.

    • Protect homeowners from rising housing costs.

    • Support policies that help families stay in their homes rather than being priced out.

    Housing affordability is economic security.

  • America needs an immigration system that is lawful, secure, and worthy of our values.

For decades, Congress has failed to modernize our immigration laws. The result is an outdated system that hurts families, employers, and our economy.

I support comprehensive immigration reform that strengthens border security while creating a clear, lawful pathway for long-term contributors, including many Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders and Dreamers, to earn permanent legal status. I have also supported legislation providing pathways to citizenship for Dreamers and TPS recipients.

Immigrants are not only part of America’s story, they are one of its greatest economic engines. They start businesses, fill critical workforce shortages, pay taxes, strengthen local economies, and contribute to every sector of our society.

Mass deportation is not an economic strategy. It would disrupt businesses, separate families, worsen labor shortages, and weaken communities across South Florida.

    My priorities include:

    • Comprehensive immigration reform.

    • A lawful pathway to citizenship for eligible long-term immigrants.

    • Protecting TPS and Dreamers while Congress enacts permanent solutions.

    • Reducing immigration backlogs.

    • Keeping families together while maintaining a secure and orderly immigration system.

America’s immigration system should reflect both the rule of law and the value of human dignity.

  • Our democracy is strongest when every eligible citizen can participate and every community has an equal voice.

I will continue fighting to protect voting rights, defend civil rights, combat discrimination, and ensure equal opportunity for every American.

    My priorities include:

    • Protecting voting rights.

    • Fighting discrimination and hate crimes.

    • Advancing economic opportunity in historically underserved communities.

    • Supporting criminal justice reforms that promote accountability, fairness, and public safety.

    • Protecting constitutional rights for every American.

Justice means ensuring every person has an equal opportunity to succeed and every voice has an equal opportunity to be heard.
